Privacy Policy

TravelLog is built as a private trip memory product. This policy describes what we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect account details, profile settings, trip content you choose to save, media attachments, notes, corrections, social visibility choices, device and sync diagnostics, and business or advertiser information submitted through our marketing and portal flows.

Location and trip context

TravelLog uses permissioned location and capture signals to record an active trip, build your private route timeline, detect stops, suggest nearby places, and help you remember where moments happened. Precise GPS is collected only when you grant the relevant device permission and use a feature that needs it, such as route recording or map-based capture.

Route details stay private unless you choose to publish a trip, share a route, add members to a group trip, or make a moment public. Public and shared views may show the destination, coarse map context, stops, or route summaries you decide to include. We do not sell precise movement trails.

Location can also help TravelLog infer place candidates, monument context, local recommendations, and sponsored relevance. Sponsored matching and business reporting use coarse context, categories, aggregate segments, and policy controls instead of exposing your private trip history, exact GPS trail, or personal identity to advertisers.

AI and intelligence settings

AI features can summarize, organize, and enhance moments at your direction. Intelligence contribution and ad personalization are separate settings. Private entries are not made public by enabling AI assistive features.

How we use information

We use information to operate the app, sync trips, render social and sharing features, enforce privacy choices, review sponsored placements, support business verification, prevent abuse, provide support, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing and service providers

We use infrastructure providers for hosting, storage, authentication, email, analytics, payments, and security. Sponsored content is labeled and reviewed. We do not sell personal trip content.

Admin and support access

Authorized TravelLog operators may access account, billing, location, AI usage, advertiser, or moderation information only when needed to operate the service, provide support, investigate abuse or fraud, review ads or business verification, grant or correct credits, debug reliability, or meet legal obligations. Sensitive actions should be limited to approved admin accounts and recorded with audit details.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and trip information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request export or deletion from account settings or support. Some records may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, billing, audit logs, or abuse prevention.

Location samples, route summaries, inferred place candidates, and map context follow the same account and trip controls. Deleting a trip, moment, or account removes or anonymizes the related location records unless retention is required for security, billing, legal compliance, or abuse prevention. Exports should include the location and route data linked to your account when technically available.

Your choices

You can update profile details, manage social visibility, and request account export or deletion through in-app settings or by contacting support. You can also manage AI settings, intelligence contribution, notification cadence, and ad personalization choices where available.

Security and children

We use access controls, private media storage, review workflows, and audit logs to protect the service. TravelLog is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as TravelLog changes. Material updates will be reflected on this page and, when appropriate, in product notices.
